Make Spring Time Honeydew Melon Juice 🍈

Description

Spring time is here and this juice is perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the honeydew melon and the tart flavour of the kiwi and grapefruit.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 honeydew melon

  • 2 kiwifruit

  • 1 grapefruit

  • 1 mint leaves (handful)

Juicing Time: 2 min

Juice Qty: 550 ml

Preparation

Honeydew Melon (1 min)

  • Remove the outer skin (you can juice it but it changes the taste)

  • Cut into thin strips or small pieces to fit in the wide chute

  • You can leave the seeds intact as they easily go through the juice


Kiwi (30 sec)

  • Thinly slice the outer brown skin (you can juice it but changes the colour of the juice)

  • Juice kiwi fruits whole


Grapefruit (30 secs)

  • Remove the skin leaving as much white pith as possible

  • Juice whole or cut in half if too big to fit into the wide chute


    Mint (10 sec)

  • remove the leaves from the woody stems

  • roughly chop

Juicing Method

  1. Place the mint into the juicer first as they a light and need other ingredients to push them through.

  2. Next juice the kiwi fruits.

  3. Add the honeydew pieces slowly letting the machine press. Both Kiwi and Honeydew are soft and need a little extra time to push through.

  4. Finish with the whole grapefruit.

  5. Garnish with a slice of lime if you like.

Tip: When buying honeydew, choose a melon with a dull looking appearance. A shiny outside is an indicator of an under-ripe melon. Also, honeydews should be pale yellow to light lemon in color, not overly green
