Preparation

Mango

  • Cut down each side of the large stone

  • Discard the stone piece

  • Cut each half into halves

  • Juice with skin on

Tomato

  • Remove any green stems

  • Juice whole

Capsicum

  • Remove the green stems

  • Cut into halves or quarters to fit in the wide chute

  • Remove excess seeds (you can juice them)

 Method

I started making this juice with tomatoes. They press easily so just add them in one at a time to your kuvings juicer.

Next add the mango halves and let the juicer run for 30 seconds to press the mango cheeks through.

Finish with the capsicum quarters adding them in quick succession one after the other.

Tip: if you want to remove the mango skin (you don’t need to) press the edge of the mango half, between the skin and the flesh, against the edge of a glass and push down, it instantly removes the skin.

Health Benefits

Muscle building, Heart and Skin.

Mangos aren’t just exceptionally tasty, they also have incredible healing properties. They help to alkalinize the whole body by helping to flush out toxic acids. They are also highly beneficial in the prevention of strokes and heart disease.

Mango is also an amazing exercise food, because it provides your muscles with traces of sodium, preciously needed glucose, and magnesium, which translates to longer, harder workouts while feeling less of “the burn.”

Because working out is so taxing on your body, it opens the floodgates for free radicals and oxidative stress to wreak havoc. Mangos are bursting with over 20 vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, which can help your muscles recover faster.

It also plays a role in muscle, tendon, and bone growth. Eating mango improves plant iron absorption due to its vitamin C content.

Mangos are also wonderful for skin health and can be used both internally and externally to help clear clogged pores, eliminate pimples, and add a natural glow to the skin.

Tomatoes are rich in potassium, a mineral crucial for lowering blood pressure and Lycopene a phytonutrient that breaks down cholesterol in such a way that it keeps arteries free-flowing.

Tomatoes are also great for the Immune System. Nutrients in tomatoes first encourage the body to produce more T cells, white blood cells that combat foreign substances like bacteria and viruses. The nutrients in the tomatoes also protect these white blood cells from free radical damage.

Capsicums contain an impressive amount of vitamin C with up to as much as six times as oranges. Because muscle tissue drinks up vitamin C, helping it process carnitine, a fatty acid that’s essential to muscle growth and recovery, capsicum actually helps build muscle.

They are also packed with vitamin A and beta carotene which can help boost the immune system, improve vision, and help protect the eyes against cataracts.
