How to make Pink Ginger Root Juice

This juice recipe makes a great mocktail. Simply add 1 part juice to 2 parts soda water and serve cold.

Once you taste this juice you will surely want to make it over and over again.

Ingredients

Ginger root juice next to ingredients
  • 1 pineapple

  • 1/2 beetroot

  • 5 strawberries

  • 1 ginger piece, 2cm

Juicing Time: 8 min
Juice Qty: 900ml
Serves: 3

Preparation

Pineapple

  • Slice off the outer skin

  • Cut into long thin strips to fit down the chute

  • Chop the core into small chunks

Beetroot

  • Cut in half and then into quarters

  • Slice each half into thin slices to make it easier to press

  • Juice with skin on (you can also juice the leaves and stems if you have them)

Strawberry

  • Pull off the small green leaves, you can juice them if you want

  • Juice whole

Ginger

  • Cut off a 2cm thick piece

  • Cut into thin slices leaving the skin on

Method

1. Start with the soft strawberries first. You can add all of them to the juicer at once.

2. Juice the beetroot slices. Add 1/4 at a time.

3. Juice the pineapple pieces, add them one piece at a time.

4. Add the ginger.

5. Finish with the pineapple core adding 3 or 4 pieces at a time.

Taste

The perfect balance of not too sweet with a little bite from the ginger and earthiness from the beetroot.
