Make a Vegan Berry Chia Mousse

Bursting with vibrant berries and blended into a silky smooth mousse, this Berry Chia Mousse is a true celebration of nature’s sweetest gifts. Every spoonful delivers the fresh, tangy sweetness of berries balanced by the creamy texture created with just a handful of wholesome ingredients.

Thanks to the magic thickening power of chia seeds, this nourishing treat is not only delicious but packed with fibre, antioxidants, and plant-based goodness. It’s the perfect healthy indulgence — light enough for breakfast, satisfying enough for a snack, and elegant enough for dessert.

Simple to make and even easier to love, this berry mousse is a beautiful way to enjoy the best of nature, any time of the day.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups mixed berries (fresh or thawed from frozen)

  • 1 ripe banana (or 2 Medjool dates (pitted) if you want a richer texture)

  • 3/4 cup coconut cream

  • 3 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1–2 tbsp maple syrup (optional, depending on sweetness)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of sea salt

Method:

  1. Blend all the ingredients — berries, banana, coconut cream, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt — in your Kuvings blender until completely smooth and creamy.

  2. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.

  3. Pour into small serving jars or bowls.

  4. Chill in the fridge for at least 2–3 hours (or overnight) until it thickens into a mousse-like texture.

  5. Top with fresh berries, shaved vegan chocolate, or a sprinkle of coconut if you like!

✨ Notes:

  • For an even fluffier mousse: After chilling, you can re-blend it for a few seconds to aerate it before serving.

  • Chocolate version: Add 1–2 tbsp cacao powder to turn it into a berry-chocolate mousse!

  • Extra decadent: Top with a dollop of whipped coconut cream.

🫐 Serving Ideas:

  • Glassware: Serve in mini stemless wine glasses, small mason jars, or vintage teacups for a charming touch.

  • Layering: Spoon a layer of berry mousse, add a thin layer of crushed freeze-dried raspberries or granola, then another layer of mousse.

  • Garnish: Top with a few fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries), a sprinkle of coconut flakes, and a tiny mint sprig.

  • Optional extra: Dust lightly with icing sugar or blend a tiny bit of coconut flour for a “snowy” look.
