Make a Mulled Carrot, Apple & Ginger Juice

Description

This cosy, spiced juice brings the comforting flavours of mulled cider into a nourishing, non-alcoholic blend — perfect for cooler mornings or a calming evening ritual. Fresh apple and carrot create a naturally sweet base, while ginger, cinnamon, star anise, and rosemary add depth and warmth. Serve it gently heated for a soul-soothing sip that supports digestion, immunity, and relaxation. The trick is to not overheat the juice when warming it on the stove and allow the herbs and spices to steep like herbal tea. Best served immediately after straining.

Taste

A sweet-tasting warm juice with touch of spice.

Ingredients

  • 6 Carrots

  • 4 Apples

  • 5cm piece Ginger

  • 1 Cinnamon Stick

  • 2 Star Anise

  • 1 Rosemary Sprig

Preparation

Carrots

  • Cut off the ends

  • Juice with skin on

Apples

  • Remove stems

  • Juice apples whole with skin and seeds

Ginger

  • Wash and dry

  • Cut into thin pieces the size of your thumbnail leaving the skin on

Method

Add the carrots to the juicer one at a time. Let the juicer press carrot through before adding another.

Next juice the ginger. Add all the slices at once.

Add the apples one at a time.

Pour the juice into a saucepan, add the rosemary, cinnamon, star anise, and simmer on medium heat for 3 mins.

Remove from heat, cover, and steep like a herbal tea for 10 mins before straining and serving.

Tip: do not let the juice boil as it will change the flavour and destroy some of the nutrients.
